Putting New Hampshire’s weather into perspective

9 July 2013 By Teresa Leave a Comment

English: Mount Adams (New Hampshire, USA), as ...
About that New Hampshire weather…

…much of NH is warmer in the winter than many of the most populated parts of the US. You may know that Buffalo, Detroit, Madison, Minneapolis, Sioux City, Albany, Youngstown andWilkes-Barre are colder than Newton, NH. But did you know that Akron,Binghamton, Chicago, Peoria, Rockford, South Bend, Worcester, and evenMaybrook, NY have lower daytime temperatures during the winter than Newton, NH?

From Part 2: putting New Hampshire’s weather into perspective – New Hampshire Freedom
I like warm weather and mild winters. But it seems as though the areas with the most comfortable climates are populated by soft people, not hearty, self-reliant folk. Some people that like the concept of the Free State Project balk at moving up north, and instead talk about Costa Rica or Belize. I guess the weather is nice in those places, but I hope these future ex-pats get to enjoy it rather than worrying about being held captive by kidnappers or worse.
