Confession: A few months back I switched this blog from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress. In doing so, I…um…cut off the feed reader that was baked into WordPress.
TBH, I could’ve kept the WordPress.com feed going, but it would’ve meant some lousy things, tech-wise. Be happy to talk to you about it over a beer. HMU?
If you were a subscriber, please accept my apologies and keep reading to see what I’m doing to remedy the situation.
As if cutting off the WordPress feed reader wasn’t bad enough, I didn’t completely realize that the automatic e-mail notification of new posts I’d set up was no longer going out.
What’s worse is that I can’t recover the subscriber list from my former provider because (can you believe this???) when you don’t log in for over a year they delete you.
Kidding about the “can you believe this” stuff.
I mean, a freebie account? That I didn’t pay attention to for over a year? It was my bad and I deserved it. You didn’t. Sorry.
Perhaps you wonder: How is it going to be any different now?
I fixed the e-mail!
For starters I’m now paying ConvertKit like $30/month to e-mail you Wandering Porcupine posts. When you pay someone money every month they don’t just delete your account.
However, if you want the notifications, you’ll have to get on this new list. Seeing as I completely failed and the old one is no mas. Sorry 🙁
But…here ya go!
What’s in it for you?
I <3 this blog so much and want to do more over here. I’d like to get back to the weekly posting schedule. But I’m struggling, y’all. I’m going to post more often, but I’m not sure I can do weekly.
Signing up for the notifications will ensure you know when I do post.
Alternatively, just come back to the blog every week and check. I am totally good with that!
